Sr. Application Developer, ExtraDev, Inc. (May 1999 - March 2007)

ExtraDev creates eBusiness systems which are accessible by authorized personnel from remote locations, at-home workstations, vendor sites, and customer venues. ExtraDev has grown to be a leading provider of integration and development. The objectives for our customers are simple: To reduce your Information Technology costs, To substantially increase access to information.

My Most Important Accomplishments

  • I designed and developed a project management / collaboration system called ExtraShare (still in use today).
  • My work was featured in a Microsoft case study about a local bagel manufacturing plant featuring Windows Server 2003 and .NET programming of an Inventory Management Application.
  • Build an accounting system for XEROX called REGAS (Real Estate General Accounting System).
  • Designed and implemented a system / desktop migration plan for Wegmans, both the corporate offices and all store locations.

Fun Projects @ ExtraDev

I wrote a web-based fantasy football league manager application as one of my first projects at ExtraDev. I also wrote a multi-player real-time trivia contest client/server application. They held several trivia contest nights at Locust Hill Country Club using my application.

Overview

  • Project Manager / Lead Software Developer: Requirements gathering, system design, and development of web/windows applications.
  • Database Administrator: Manage 4 SQL Servers with a combined total of 37 large client database systems.
  • Website Administrator: Monitor & manage 6 MS IIS web servers.
  • Systems Engineer (both internal and for customers).
  • Network support (including switches, servers, desktops and applications) for customers such as a local County Government and a local Advertising Agency.
  • I have worked on over 150 consulting projects for Rochester area and upstate New York companies and local County Government offices.
